Mark Stegeman
MA, LMFT
Mark Stegeman has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Minnesota. He has been working in the field since 2008. During this time he has worked in several different areas within the mental health field including Outpatient Psychotherapy, Substance Abuse Treatment, Anger Management, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and In-home Family Therapy.

Jake Olson
MA, LMFT
Jake Olson (LMFT) has been a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2018 and grew up in the Mora community. He works with adults, couples, and some teens who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, and other forms of emotional distress.

Jake’s approach is collaborative, client-centered, and focused on practical change. He aims to create a calm, supportive space where clients can feel understood while also working toward clear, meaningful goals.

He is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process trauma and other difficult experiences without having to relive them in detail. Jake also has a strong focus on couples therapy and has completed Levels 1–3 of The Gottman Method, using structured tools to help couples improve communication, reduce conflict, and strengthen their relationship.

Jake enjoys working with clients who want both insight and tangible strategies, and who are ready to better understand themselves and make changes that improve their day-to-day lives and relationships.

Karlie Gams
MSW, LICSW
Karlie Gams has a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from St. Catherine University and University of St. Thomas, and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). She holds dual board certification as a clinical licensing supervisor with the Minnesota Board of Social Work and the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She has been working in the field since 2015 and has experience providing clinical mental health services to individuals of all ages in a variety of settings including corrections, in-home skills and therapy services, school-based mental health, and Outpatient Psychotherapy. Karlie currently sees patients ages 7 to young adults to address areas related to mood and behavioral challenges and disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, ADHD, and Autism. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches that recognizes each individual’s unique life experiences and background, culture, and resilience. “My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where each person feels understood and supported in their values, beliefs, and what matters most to them.”

Ginger Ekholm, Clinical Trainee
Ginger graduated with a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Crown College in May 2023. She is currently a pre-licensed mental health trainee, under the clinical supervision of Karlie Gams, MSW, LICSW, who holds dual board certification as a clinical licensing supervisor with the Minnesota Boards of Social Work and Behavioral Health & Therapy. Ginger works with clients ages six through adult, offering a caring and client-centered approach. She considers it her life’s mission to walk beside others on their journey towards hope and restoration. Ginger has experience working with individuals experiencing addiction, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, spirituality/Christian faith issues and trauma. She is trained in EMDR and Trauma Focused CBT.

Cassie Peterson
MS, LMFT
Cassie is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She sees clients ranging from age 14 and beyond to assist in reducing depression, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship issues. Cassie’s practice is client-centered and adheres to concepts of mindfulness, CBT, and skills from DBT.
